Josie Todd

Josie Todd is a 19-year-old native of Memphis, Tennessee, and sophomore at The University of Mississippi where she is a Business Marketing major on the Pre-Law track. She graduated from Briarcrest Christian High School with Honors and a Fine Arts Endorsement in 2024. She is a lifelong performer, actress and talented vocalist with an impressive resume including living in nine states for professional acting and features in commercials for top national brands like Zappos, Ashley Home Furniture, and Sonic Drive-In.

Josie is a member of Chi Omega sorority at Ole Miss and has been a theatre enthusiast since the age of three. Her favorite musical is Footloose, and she played in the role of Ariel in Southaven Family Theatre’s production of the show—with a broken foot!—in 2024. She has appeared in the pre-Broadway production Because of Winn Dixie and performed live with the band Foreigner.

On July 5th, 2025, Josie was crowned the state’s fifth-ever Miss Mississippi Teen Volunteer in Tupelo. The Mississippi Volunteer Pageant is a state licensee of the national Miss Volunteer America Pageant, which is based in Tennessee and seeks to empower young women across the nation through educational scholarships and extraordinary opportunities. During the competition, Josie was awarded $3,000 in cash scholarships to fund her education.

Josie’s platform is Best Buddies, inspired by her brother Hunter, who has developmental disabilities and whom she has witnessed face harsh social exclusion and lack of access to opportunities. She has had a passion for inclusion and building meaningful opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since the age of five and has raised over $50,000 for Best Buddies.

Josie serves alongside Miss Mississippi Volunteer 2026, Mattie Grace Morris, as a partner of the Mississippi Highway Patrol’s D.R.I.V.E. Campaign, teaching life-saving driving practices to teens across the state. The partnership has reached more than 24,000 individuals in the past four years.Additionally, Josie and Mattie Grace serve as official ambassadors of The Salvation Army and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital throughout the year. They utilize their titles to volunteer, advocate, and raise funds for these important causes.

Josie will represent Mississippi at the national Miss Teen Volunteer America Pageant in March of 2026 in Jackson, Tennessee.
